A rich, seductive, and absolutely lustful interpretation of Oud: I wanted to offer a warm and comforting experience, but with the dirty and animalic intensity of Oud.
It is a fragrance that once again expresses my obsession with human intimacy and the experience of it: the infinite sweetness of bodily closeness, the search for the animal aspect in human beings. A search for the quintessence of humanity, starting from *Sex and the Sea* and *Under My Skin*, passing through *The Lover’s Tale* and *Unspoken Musk*.
It is a fragrance that, in its extrait formulation, shows all its complexity and sweetness, sensuality, and lust, like a magical realm of abundance.
It is the wonderful feeling of opulence and fullness of a round Oud, which combines its woody part with animalic and leathery aspects, whose sometimes very pungent character is softened by the sweetness of caramel.
The other typical aspect of this beautiful material, which resembles cheese, is amplified but in a gourmand sense, accentuated by creamy, buttery, and fruity notes (plum).
The same sensation of richness, abundance, and extreme sweetness found in Middle Eastern pastries, very sweet and exuberant.

I really can’t explain how this fragrance smells, it’s almost boozy in a sweet way and the caramel really ties it all together. The oud is there to add that rich and seductive depth, and of course the dry down is amazing. I believe this to be just perfect for the season, 10/10 very unique and rich scent

Perfectly balanced. There’s a gourmand element, but it’s certainly not overly sweet. On my skin there’s a warmth of something seductively like honeyed cookie-dough but this never becomes cloying as the woodiness counterbalances this perfectly.

I was hesitant to order this at first without sampling it, particularly because Tolu Balsam is a difficult note for me. In some compositions it is so striking on my skin it overpowers everything else. I am so glad I decided to get Voluptuous Oud in the end !
Oud is the most noticeable here, supported by leather and fruity sweetness. The light citrus notes balance the caramel very well. Voluptuous Oud sweetens in the dry down but at no point does it become cloying, and the whole wear feels very smooth. Like gently tracing patterns on your lover’s skin. A very intimate interpretation of oud, far from the oriental style Rose-Spice-Oud perfumes.
Very long wear, (6-8 hrs), and soft projection on a couple sprays. I wouldn’t apply more as to me this is the kind of scent best enjoyed up close.

I absolutely adore Encounters and was very curious to see what this would be like. A rare blind buy for me and no regrets whatsoever! This is a glorious wear. On my skin the oud has camphoric qualities but balanced perfectly by the plum and caramel. Good sillage and excellent longevity. Another winner!

I’m not a big fan of oud but in this fragrance it’s really nice. It could be the fruity notes that balance it out which makes it more wearable for me. It projects really well and lasts for hours which is always a plus.

this perfume is an oud very different from what is on the market, it has strong citrus elements with a dark oud to highlight its existence, I personally would like it a bit more animalistic. It lasts for a long time on me, more than eight hours.

Lo esperaba mas intenso, con más proyección. Desde luego no es tan intenso como Lover’s Tale, Es más suave pero adictivo, como todas las creaciones de Francesca.

My friends, my wife and I… Love it.
It’s a sweet slightly citrusy fragrance; the Cambodia Oud is present and gives support and strength to the entire composition, the sillage is fascinating. In dry down you can smell the leather in combination with the caramel, perfectly balanced.
I completely recommend it if you want to start getting to know Francesca’s fragrances.

This is definately one of the best fragrances with oud that exists in the market! For me this an oud that is very well balanced and very well worked that makes this fragrance have the highest level of finesse. It makes it eztremely elegant and addictive. This is my first take on a perfume dedicated to oud, and I find it very outstanding and bold. The top notes quickly give way to a delicious heart of sweet-sour plum and almond-vanilla heliotrope, covered in leather and dark wood. A very unique mixture! If this would be a colour palette, it would be dark grape, vintage bordeaux and polished mahagoni. A lustful lady, but not willing to lose her head and heart easily, like the strong, confident, tomboyish vintage beauties from the 20ies and 30ies. You will definitely stand out with this one!

I was blown away when I first smelled it. A rich, dense, dark fragrance, somehow the colour purple pops into my mind when I smell it. On me juicy plum and woodiness are the most prominent features. Perfect for the cold weather.

On the nose, this is a fruity leather. The fruitiness isn’t sweet, but rather acidic and laced through with citruses. The leather is on the worn vintage leather jacket side (rather than new car seats) – soft, animalic, and notably doesn’t cause a headache for me. I appreciate that a lot, since I physically can’t stand leather in quite a lot of fragrances. I have never smelled a real oud, so I feel a bit unqualified commenting on the oud aspect of this fragrance, but the woodiness that I smell between the fruit and the leather is of the smooth, hard, dark, cold variety. Think polished ebony, a bit metallic. I think it’s pretty versatile, but I’d wear it in colder weather rather than warm.

I love every creation I have tried from Francesca. They are all unique on its own and worth exploring. However, this simply ticks every box for me. Sweet, complex and fruity. I have never seen nor smelled anything close to what Francesca did here with the Plum, this is one of my favorites fruits for a reason.
Can you find something similar or fruity elsewhere? sure. Does it comes near this creation if the main note you are chasing is plum? Never!!!
This feels almost as eating an unforgettable dessert. One of those that force you to close your eyes to sense, feel and allow your imagination to wander on well kept memories. What a beautiful creation. A fragance I am aiming to have in my collection at all times.

I’m an Oud lover…everything from polite wester accords to old Assam ouds applied directly to skin, I like Ouds. So, from my perspective this is an easy and, in a way, delicious wear. So good!
