This is an extrait de parfum, so use sparingly as the concentration is 25%. It has a great longevity (an average of 12h)
The Making Of Sex and The Sea + Neroli
This perfume came out just for fun: What happens if I get my Sex and The Sea – an extrovert, sexy, warm scent – and combine it with my Neroli reconstitution – a shy, sharp, hypnotic smell?
Mind you, things didn’t happen that easily, I had to calibrate the whole formula to allow Neroli to stay in the same room with Sex and The Sea.
But the result was so hypnotic and sexy, so refreshing and warm, that I decided to produce this little treasure and not just to keep it for my personal use.
I have to admit that I have a soft spot for an anti-snobbish attitude (though probably being unconsciously snobbish myself) therefore the simple idea of creating something as commercial as a “flanker” was exhilarating.
Sex and The Sea Neroli presents – as the original version – a heart of coconut, the saltiness of the sea, the sweet sweat of a warm skin but this time with a hint of narcotic freshness, which makes the perfume more complex and its evolution more intriguing.
PS: the logo is a drawing of mine, an imaginary union of a Neroli flower and a starfish.

This perfume is such a gorgious experience : the hypnotic waves from the Néroli opens, liberate this dense liquide first, then the coconut swim with the ambrox and a light, naughty, sharp Civet contrepoint emerge from a bed of Vanilla. Received as part of Born in Venus sample set, and of all I got it’s my favorite. As the name indicates, it’s Sex and the Sea, but with a potent neroli blast right from the start, which I find intoxicating, and it last for almost all the duration, quite a few hours which is a plus. The drydown is similar to Sex and the Sea, but still there is a bit of neroli lingering until the end. Excellent, long lasting, very unusual, LOVE!

I am thoroughly addicted to this scent! After receiving a sample set from a friend, this I kept coming back to this one as I could not get enough of it. Mind you, I really do not need yet another bottle of perfume, but this is such an intoxicating potion and I had to have it. I loved the OG SATS, but I guess the addition of neroli had won me over even though I do not enjoy it as a note in any other perfume I have come across. Here, it is simply divine. IMO, the notes breakdown is true to the description and I can smell the sultry sexiness of salt on sweaty, lotion covered warm bodies. A very unique composition. It is winter no in the northern hemisphere and I cannot wait for hot days to experience this divine juice. For the time being, I am content snuggling up in my cashmere sweaters, inhaling this divine scent and imagining myself somewhere on the Côte d’Azur. Once the sun shows up, I will be purchasing the body oil as well to maximize the projection.

I always thought I hated beachy, fruity fragrances and avoided coconut scents like the plague—until I tested Sex and the Sea Neroli. It’s completely different from anything else out there. The combination of civet and iris makes it unexpected and unique. It’s both happy and bright (thanks to neroli) yet dark and heavy (due to the animalic notes). And, as with all of Francesca Bianchi’s creations, the performance is outstanding. Francesca is truly a master of unexpected creations. I highly recommend exploring her entire brand.

Its now few weeks been with Sex and the Sea Neroli. As a white floral lover this was natural choose to make. I get summery beach feel a little salty, but also fresh neroli. If I would have Yacht, this would be perfect scent for sunny sail, sun bathing and swim on the ocean.

This is my first purchase of Francesca. As soon as I smelled it I fell in love with it. As an neroli fan I had to have it. Its done so very nicely. Summer scent but not a freshy. This something different. I would say this one suits the daytime in the summer, and sex and the sea more in the evening. Long lasting and gives a nice trail.
