This new Emotion Generator Machine is surgically built around both personal and collective memories. These are memories linked to recollections of childhood joy, which become comforting emotions in our adult lives.
Your grandmother’s hand takes yours and accompanies you in the meadows, where you run carefree. The tangerine peel, peeled and thrown into the fireplace, crackles with the aroma of its essential oil. We play with flour in the kitchen as little ones, with a patient grandmother who helps us. The amusement park with the scent of cotton candy and caramelized hazelnuts. The almond “confetti” (sugared almonds), thrown at newlyweds in Italian weddings, are eaten by children.

Once Upon A Time has a lovely, soft and sweet vibe with a hint of spiciness. It’s different from other Francesca Bianchi perfumes I’ve tried so far. Lighter and dare I say fun? While it leans gourmand it’s not firmly in that category. Quite refined and easier to wear. The patchouli and castoreum notes are subtle giving structure to the lighter candied notes. Rather perfect for daytime wear and shines in cool weather.

Personally, I think this is a fantastic release not only for the scent profile but the fact its delivers emotionally. Francesca asked the questions which memories would you save and that this was liquid emotion, and it is. In spades.
Every note evokes a memory from childhood to important events and happy times. Sweet candied almond, lipsticky Iris, suede leather with a touch of vanilla. Its absolutely gorgeous and so powerful.

Love it! It`s a beautiful gourmand scent. Quite different than FB previous work… Easy wearable -100%. Fills like a warm, holiday scent with the spirit of Francesca…

This is a warm and comforting scent. It has unmistakenly the Francesca Bianchi DNA, but without being seductive. Which is good, because that is not always the mood you’re in or going for. It is sweet and I really picked up the cotton candy note, how cool and original is that?!

At first, my initial attraction was the write up about this fragrance. The wording touched my heart and I felt as I not only must try this fragrance and to reflect on my life and my memories, BUT most of all, make sure that this story of what memories are made of resonates with my children and my grandchildren one day. Who wouldn’t want to have memories like this. We as women or men, need to put aside what we experienced as children, good bad or indifferent and make sure we create a better life circle of memories for our followers. I ordered this fragrance from scent split but purchasing a full bottle here is I can get it shipped to the USA. I really love this fragrance. The vanilla is true vanilla with a touch of spice and reminds me of true Mexican vanilla I purchased from Mexico on a cruise. Most of all, every time I spray it … I am brought to her writings here about it and what I can do to be sure to teach my family of traditions of cooking and fragrance and how it all comes together to create the best memories. Love it on myself, but I would imagine it being equally delicious on a woman.
Sweet and comforting without being dense or cloying. It’s quite airy but still has good longevity.
