This is an extrait de parfum, so use sparingly as the concentration is 25%. It has a great longevity (an average of 12h)
The Story behind The Lover’s Tale
This is a story of by-gone times about a lovers’ secret encounter. It represents the contradictions between sense and sensibility, prudery and passion. The lovers are driven by desire but their education holds them back.
Rich in natural raw materials, jasmin and leather are the protagonists of this perfume. I used a beautiful Egyptian jasmin to create a slightly narcotic accord, which best combines with leather. In this base, I used some castoreum rendered in a sophisticated way, yet keeping its animalic facets.
The opening renders the shy but sparkling mood of the very moment they meet, with bergamot, honey and a touch of aldehydes. A vague smell of pollen evokes the nights of early spring, when peach trees are in blossom and release their scent in the fresh air. Then, attraction and romance trap the lovers, and a narcotic jasmin softened by a powdery rose represents this tension. Ultimately passion takes over, with a sophisticated leather, developing over an intense ambery accord on the background.

This is a truly exceptional perfume. I love how it changes on my skin, ever evolving and really getting better and better with time. Truly long lasting, I often spray at bedtime as it’s so comforting to me, and awake to the beautiful dry down still so noticeable. I adore the light sweetness of the florals and resins, the powdery sensual Iris and the sexy more masculine salty woodsy touches. A masterpiece if you ask me.

Smooth operator!I ve two samples of Lover s tale. The last one just purchased is less loud than the other one. More intimate and wearable for me. Not the hardcore leather fragrance I tested few years ago. I like it much better this way. Creamy soft leather/suede and iris covered with some spice. Soothing, elegant, unisex. Suited for every occasion. Office friendly. Great longevity. Again a wonderful FB creation. Much better than the little bit synthetic Cuir Lancome or SL Daim blond. This might become my beloved leather/suede fragrance. (I ve been looking for years for a perfect one).

Love it!!!, what i like most is the dark notes. The wood, vetiver and leather are more predominant in the first hours after application; then the more subtle notes come out (the florals). This is masterfully crafted, A truly winner and a must have !!!

This is it, I found THE perfume. It’s elegant (thanks orris) and dirty (hello jasmine). Smooth feminine leather with touches of masculine oak moss and vetiver. The best longevity with a plot twist … no olfactory fatigue, so you can enjoy all the facets from beginning to end. Delectable contradictions in a bottle, perfectly blended! It’s more than a perfume, it’s art. For the nose.

Oh wow this perfume is a masterpiece that unfolds over time on the skin.
To start I get a very strong bouquet of floral scents followed by a powdery softness.
Then on to an animalic and intoxicating jasmine and sandalwood.
The drydown is mostly leather infused with honey and peach.

So I made the mistake and sprayed The Lover’s Tale from above my head, like I sometimes do, and it got in my hair. 4 Days later and I can still smell it, clearly.
The fragrance starts like a duet between a smooth leather and a lovely pristine jasmine. Over time, leather wraps about the jasmine flower as it becomes more and more indolic (read: fecal) and the scene becomes… explicit. By the end, all that remains is raw, highly animalic leather, unapologetically raunchy. A tale of innocence lost, and by this I mean the innocence of my nostrils.
Surprisingly, in the atmosphere around me, it smells very enticing. Just don’t overspray and make the mistake of getting it on textiles or hair, like I did.
But I do love it. I knew what I was getting.

I didn’t buy the full bottle, I got the sample size first to get into it and the first time I had it on I didn’t like it much, the castoreum was too animalic and I had to familiarize to the scent. After the second wear, I was in love with it. My girlfriend absolutely loved it! The scent bubble was crazy, and it lasted so long. Kid you not, lasted after an entire wash. Great fragrance, will be buying the 30ml

These perfumes are shared with ten traditional scents. For others, it is a wonderful leather, animal, woody, powdery and smoky fragrance composition. The scent lasts for 14 hours and the projection is spacious for 2 hours, then it decreases very slowly.

This is *naughty*!! A superb leather with a real feeling of something illicit. On my skin, it lasts for ages and the drydown is actually quite beautiful and soft. But that opening is something to experience! Highly recommended if you enjoy leather.

The lover’s tale is so naughty and daring that even people with low libido will desire for intimacy. Personally I adore ultra animalic barnyard perfumes with lots of dark wood, heavy leather, ambergris, castoreum, civet and natural musk. Suprisingly enough, in this fragrance is the Egyptian Grandiflorum Jasmine the protagonist which gives the scent a nocturnal erotic effect with untenable delicious leathery animalic dry down. My compliments to Francesca Bianchi for creathing this amazing scent. One of a kind!

I was watching one of my favourite Australian fragrance reviewed the Scentinel and he recommended me trying this. I wasn’t big on leather before this & it was a blind buy but it’s lovely & wears better the longer the evening goes. Definitely not an office scent. This is a masterpiece. Simply put: It’s jasmine meets leather. As a man, I’m most drawn to the leather note. However, the perfume doesn’t always behave the same way. Sometimes the jasmine comes to the forefront, other times the leather takes the lead. This is the only perfume by Ms. Bianchi where I wouldn’t risk more than two sprays.
